Virtual Holy Hour

For those unable to adore in the chapel, Father has provided a virtual holy hour.

Saint Pope John Paul II - "Visit the Lord in that 'heart to heart' contact that is Eucharistic Adoration. Day after day, you will receive new energy to help you to bring comfort to the suffering and peace to the world. By contemplating the light radiant on the face of the Risen Christ, you will learn to live as 'children of the light and children of the day' (I Thess. 5:5), and in this way you will show that 'the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true' (Eph. 5:9).

What is Eucharistic Adoration?

Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist, bread and wine that has become the Body and Blood of Christ at the hands of a priest. In many churches that have adoration, the Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance, and people come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day and often at night.

In other words, the Eucharistic Christ continues to be present in our midst beyond the Eucharistic liturgy when the consecrated host is either reposed in a tabernacle or exposed on the altar.

The worship of the Holy Eucharist, independently of Mass and Holy Communion, can be traced to post-apostolic times as portrayed by St. Justin and St. Tarcisius.

Eucharistic Adoration at Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel, established 2006

Jesus thirsts for us and longs for our hearts. He waits for our response to His pursuit of our souls. Jesus waited, waits, and will wait for us faithfully.

We are privileged to be in the Holy Presence of the God of the universe at any moment. He promised Himself to us in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, as our spiritual food and strength.

Jesus perpetually invites us to grow in our communion with Him through adoration of His holy Presence.

The Lord has humbled Himself to dwell quietly in Sacred Heart's church building, His Heart beating, wanting to beat in our hearts.

The body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ, fully man, fully God, under the appearance of bread, is exposed in a monstrance to be adored for who He is - the Creator of our Universe, worthy of all worship.

What a beautiful gift we have. Jesus is waiting. He waits for you.

"And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, 'So, could you not watch with me one hour?'"

-Matthew 26:40

“Eucharistic presence of Christ [which] begins at the moment of the consecration...endures as long as the Eucharistic species subsist.”

-Catechism of the Catholic Church, #1377
The Power of Adoration

"Each moment that you spend with Jesus will deepen your union with Him and make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in Heaven, and will help bring about everlasting peace on earth." -Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

"The more time we spend with Jesus, the less we fear."- Fr. John Kleinschmidt

Thank You, Adorers

It is far more of a blessing to give than to receive, but the amazing thing about giving our time to Jesus is that our Lord God is never outdone in generosity. When we give to Jesus an hour of our time during the week just being in His Presence, He in return blesses us with many unseen blessings. The peace felt in the chapel is not just imagination; this is a sign that real Healing Power is flowing from the Heart of Jesus, blessing not only a person's heart but those for whom prayers are said. In heaven, we will be amazed how Jesus blesses us.

Thank you for your hours of adoration!

Come, let us adore Him.

All are welcome...

...to adore our Lord six days a week (not Saturdays) starting at noon and into the evening hours. Sacred Heart always invites new adorers to sign up for their own hour.
